Cedar Street Cafe in Manistique has been shaking things up, thanks to new owner Kyle Hoezee. Hoezee started working in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher when he was 15 years old and has been working his way up ever since.
After watching Gordon Ramsay’s cooking shows, this young entrepreneur found his passion and says he has plans to take Cedar Street Cafe and Espresso Bar to its fullest potential.
One new addition to the menu, and which recently sold out an hour before closing, is the Southern Style Fried Chicken Night on Tuesdays. One dinner plate includes half a chicken, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and bacon, mac and cheese, and a dinner roll.
Hoezee plans to slowly expand the menu and incorporate additional unique dinner nights in the future. Along with the Tuesday dinner night, there are more espresso drink options, an updated Square point of sale, new interior décor, and a crew that Hoezee says delivers excellent customer service.
“I just want a happy, fun place for my people to work and a happy, fun place for the customers to come and get the best food they can,” said Hoezee.
