Live Local e-Gift Card option now available

Schoolcraft Tourism and Commerce is encouraging residents to “give the gift of shopping local” by purchasing a Live Local e-gift card. The Live Local Card is a new community-based digital gift card that allows shoppers to “keep local spending local”.

When purchasing a Live Local Card, participants are able to write a personal message and send to family, friends, and colleagues via text, email, or print for a physical copy. Recipients may choose to spend it at one of the participating businesses in the Manistique area or mix it up and spend flexibly at multiple locations.

Additional merchants are added daily.

“By supporting local businesses, more money continues circulating through the local community – this is achieved through a combination of profits paid to local business owners, wages paid to local workers, goods and services procured locally for internal use or resale, and charitable giving within the community,” the STC said in a recent press release. “If you’re looking for a way to do some good or want to know how you can help the community you love, send a digital Live Local Card as a stocking stuffer this year.”
