Mona & Co. receives ‘first dollar’

The familiar cooking of Mona Nelson has found a new home at the Indian Lake Golf Course. Previously located at the Garden Golf Course the owners of Mona & Co. are excited about this new venture as well as bringing their cooking closer to Manistique.



Open Wednesday to Sunday Mona & Co. offers the area a new place for lunch and dinner. Once voted “best fish fry” in the U.P. visitors can expect to have their socks blown off by the outstanding white fish.


“The need for a nice place to eat dinner is something the community is always looking for and we are excited to be that new option,” said head cook and owner Mona Nelson. “While there has been a constant need to adjust and adapt to the current state of things, I think we are just relieved it is finally happening” Mona said she wants to thank her family who have made this all happen and is excited for what the future holds for this location.
