Two of the most common questions fielded by both the Schoolcraft Welcome Center and local businesses involve the local Palms Book State Park and other attractions/activities in the area.
To help provide information to visitors and provide businesses with the right tools to answer questions, the center has created custom Pop-Up Welcome Centers. These mini welcome centers display the Discover Manistique Mobile App on a locked iPad stand and showcase the top brochures and maps most requested for the area.
All brochures are free of charge.
With the compact design, there is a wealth of information right at the fingertips of visitors. The first four pop-ups are located at People’s Store, Bostique, Kewadin Casino, and Gulliver Crossroads, with the potential of rotating to other STC Member locations.
This project was funded by the CUPPAD Regional Prosperity Initiative Grant STC received in 2019 and iPad donated by Limestone Federal Credit Union. SineTech and Jim’s Welding and Machine helped make the custom design.
For more information about the pop-ups, contact the Schoolcraft Welcome Center at 341-5010.
